Services
For executors, personal representatives and adult children living outside Edmonton or outside Alberta — someone on the ground who manages the physical side of the property transition and reports back.
Administering an estate from another city means every practical task becomes a flight, a favour or a guess. The legal and financial work can be done at a distance with your lawyer and accountant. The property cannot. Alberta Estate Transitions manages the physical and logistical side of the transition so you are not trying to run a household from a thousand kilometres away.
You receive a written scope before work begins, and updates with photographs as the project moves through its stages. Decisions that belong to the authorized decision-maker are brought to you rather than made on your behalf. Nothing of significance leaves the property without a recorded decision.
Alberta Estate Transitions does not provide legal, tax or accounting advice and does not act as executor, trustee or estate administrator. We do not appraise property or determine its value; where an item may warrant professional appraisal, we coordinate a qualified independent provider. Independent providers normally contract with and are paid directly by the client or the estate.
Clearing the property itself is described in more detail under estate clear-outs. If you are a professional making an introduction on behalf of a client, see professional referrals.

Tell us where the property is and what stage you are at. A first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies the sequence.
